WLC Finishes Third At Wisconsin Private College Championships

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Paced by freshman Mikaela Sullivan (Wauwatosa, Wis.), the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's cross country team placed third out of eight scoring teams at the Wisconsin Private College Championships on Saturday at Colburn Park.

  • Top WLC Individual: Mikaela Sullivan, 5th of 80, 24:59.3

  • Sullivan, who posted a 6K time of 24:59.3, earned her top finish of the season, fifth place, along with First Team All-State honors.
  • Senior Becca Heller (South Milwaukee, Wis.) placed 11th overall to collect Second Team All-State honors after a season best time of 26:03.9.
  • Freshman Brooke Graesslin (Janesville, Wis.) earned Third Team All-State with her 17th-place finish and a time of 26:24.8.
  • Senior Megan Kuether (New Berlin, Wis.) ran a time of 27:18.8 to earn her highest finish of the season of 23rd place.
  • Freshman Jenn Zastrow (Milwaukee, Wis.) finished 25th in a time of 27:23.5 to round out the Warriors' scoring five.

  • Meet host St. Norbert had three of its runners place in the top six to win the team title with 36 points. The Green Knights' Joyana Tarsa topped the 80-runner field with a winning 6K time of 24:10.7.

  • The Warriors return to their home course at Greenfield Park to host the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championships on Saturday November 2. The women's 6K race is set to start at 12:00 p.m.
