Sullivan Leads Warriors At Gene Davis Invite

APPLETON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Freshman Mikaela Sullivan (Wauwatosa, Wis.) out-ran her previous best 6K time by 0:38 seconds to lead the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's cross country team to a fifth-place finish on Saturday at the Gene Davis Invitational at Reid Golf Course.

  • Top WLC Individual: Mikaela Sullivan, 11th of 100, 24:43.1

 

  • Sullivan ran a season-best 6K of 24:43.1 to earn an 11th-place finish in the 100-runner field.
  • Freshman Brooke Graesslin (Janesville, Wis.) earned an 18th-place finish with her season-best 6K time of 25:19.4.
  • Freshman Jenn Zastrow (Milwaukee, Wis.) ran 1 minute and 48 seconds faster than her previous best 6K time, clocking in at 26:23.2 for 39th place.
  • Senior Becca Heller (South Milwaukee, Wis.) ran a season-best time of 26:37.6 to place 44th.
  • Senior Megan Kuether (New Berlin, Wis.) rounded out the Warriors' scoring, running a 6K of 26:43.7 for 46th place.

 

  • UW-Oshkosh earned a perfect team score of 15 points to win the meet. The Titans were 53 points ahead of second-place St. Norbert. Cheyenne Moore of the Lawrence alumni team posted a winning 6K time of 22:37.5 to win the individual 6K race title.

 

  • The Warriors begin the championship portion of the season next weekend, racing at the Private College Championships on Saturday. The meet will be hosted by St. Norbert at Colburn Park with the 6K race starting at 11:00 a.m.
