Women's Cross Country Fourth At Home Invite

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Two runners finished inside the top 25 as the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's cross country team placed fourth out of 15 scoring teams with 122 points Saturday at the Warrior Invitational held at Greenfield Park. Cassie Balts (Barron, Wis.) led the way for the Warriors with a fourth-place finish.

  • Balts recorded her third-career top 10 finish by placing fourth with a time of 25:00.25 on the 6K course.
  • Megan Kuether (New Berlin, Wis.) placed 23rd in 26:00.70.
  • Christina Biffert (Lomira, Wis.) crossed the line a few steps behind Kuether to finish 28th in a time of 26:28.34.
  • Becca Heller (South Milwaukee, Wis.) completed the course in a time of 26:59.07 which was good for 37th place.
  • Siobhan Heiss (Beloit, Wis.) rounded out the Warriors top five with a 41st place finish with a time of 27:02.27.


  • St. Norbert's Sarah Parbs took home the individual title with a finishing time of 23:46.97.
  • The Green Knights had six runners place in the top 25 to be repeating team championships with 36 team points.


  • Wisconsin Lutheran will race again next Saturday at the DeSales Invitational in Center Valley, Pa. The women's 6K race begins at 10:15 a.m.
