Warriors Cap Season At NCAA Midwest Regional

WINNECONNE, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's cross country team competed in the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional at Lake Breeze Golf Club where they placed 33rd overall and were paced by senior Julie Favorite (New London, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran). Favorite placed 38th overall out of 281 runners with a personal-best time of 22:28.0 in her final collegiate 6K race.

The other Warriors runners included freshman Cassie Balts (Barron, Wis./Barron) who finished second on the team and 175th overall with a time of 24:48.0. Jessica Stumpner (Crystal Lake, Ill./South), a sophomore, placed 214th finishing with a personal-best time of 25:58.5.

Freshman Erika Shaw (Lafayette, Ind./Harrison) and sophomore Lauren Howard (Pewaukee, Wis./Lake Country Lutheran) also competed for WLC, finishing with times of 28:40.4 and 28:51.5 respectively.

WLC's 947 points placed itself 33rd out of the 41 scoring teams that participated. Washington University in St. Louis won the event with a team score of 62 points and were led by Lucy Cheadle who won the regional with a time of 20:55.5.
