Janna Zak is in her first season as an assistant coach for the Wisconsin Lutheran College women’s volleyball team.

The Fond du Lac native was an assistant for two seasons with the Fond du Lac Fusion Volleyball Club, coaching the 16’s and 18’s. Zak played collegiately for two seasons at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, where she led the Titans with 3.77 digs per set in 1998. She tallied a season-high 22 digs while playing back row in a match during the 1999 season. Zak graduated from UWO in 2002 with a degree in human services.

Zak competed for three seasons in track & field and two in volleyball at Winnebago Lutheran Academy. She was an All-State nominee and First Team All-Wisconsin Flyway Conference selection for volleyball in 1997. On the track, Zak was a member of the Vikings’ 1997 WISAA Division 2 state championship team. She helped WLA earn first place in the 400m relay and set a new school record in the 800m relay.

Zak and her husband, Benjamin, reside in Milwaukee with their four children; Willow, Clyde, Magnolia, and Felix.
