Women's 4x4 Breaks Another Record At Eagle Open

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Select members of the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's and women's outdoor track & field teams competed Friday at both the UW-La Crosse Eagle Open and Dr. Keeler Invitational last chance meets. No team scores were recorded at either event.

  • The Warriors women's 4x400m Relay of Sami Huebner (Sun Prairie, Wis.), Kendra Schumacher (Little Chute, Wis.), Becca Heller (South Milwaukee, Wis.), and Leah Rosenow (Temecula, Calif.) recorded a school-record time of 4:01.68 to finish fifth in the event at the UW-La Crosse Eagle Open. The team shattered the previous record from a week ago by nearly five seconds.
  • Kiana Granath (Lodi, Wis.) placed sixth of 15 in the Javelin with a throw of 30.87m.
  • Siobhan Heiss (Beloit, Wis.) posted her second-fastest time of the season in the 1,500m at the Dr. Keeler Invitational in 5:12.40.
  • Joel Schamber (Wyoming, Mich.) placed third of 11 in the 400m Hurdles at the UW-La Crosse Eagle Open with the second-fastest time of his career at 56.00 seconds.
  • Jared Traver (Janesville, Wis.) also posted his second-best career mark in the Javelin with a toss of 41.05m.
  • Javier Cano-Telles (Milwaukee, Wis.) recorded a personal-best in the 1,500m at the Dr. Keeler Invitational with a time of 4:15.18.
  • Brady Stuck (Germantown, Wis.) ran his second-fastest 3,000m Steeplechase of the season in 10:10.62.

  • The Warriors will return to Naperville next week to compete at the Gregory Invitational hosted by North Central (Ill.).
