Rosenow's School Records Highlight Runner-Up Finish At SNC

DE PERE, Wis. ( – Leah Rosenow (Temecula, Calif.) broke two school records and was a part of three first-place finishes to lead the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's track & field team to a second-place finish at the St. Norbert Twilight Thursday.

  • Location: Schneider Stadium, De Pere, Wis.

  • Rosenow swept the Long and Triple Jump events, winning the competitions with leaps of 5.38m and 10.87m, respectfully, breaking her own school records from earlier this season.
  • The Warriors started the meet with a win in the 4x100m Relay. The team of Sami Huebner (Sun Prairie, Wis.), Jenna Schmitz (Fox Lake, Wis.), Kendra Schumacher (Little Chute, Wis.), and Rosenow posted a winning time of 50.97 seconds.
  • Huebner won the 400m Hurdles running a time of 1:10.75, and placed second in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 16.61 seconds. Madeleine Steber (Green Bay, Wis.) was third in the 400m Hurdles running a time of 1:15.59, and fifth in the 100m Hurdles running a time of 17.71 seconds.
  • Schumacher finished second in the 400m, posting a time of 1:02.04. Becca Heller (South Milwaukee, Wis.) finished seventh, running a 1:05.90.
  • Schmitz finished fourth in the 100m, recording a time of 13.47 seconds.
  • Hannah Weide (New Berlin, Wis.) ran a time of 5:16.18 in the 1,500m, good for fourth place.
  • Kaylyn Shevey (Muskego, Wis.) and Schmitz were fourth and fifth in the Long Jump, leaping distances of 4.76m and 4.58m, respectfully.
  • Rosenow and Schumacher finished fifth and sixth in the 200m, clocking times of 26.56 seconds and 27.37 seconds, respectively.
  • Siobhan Heiss (Beloit, Wis.) competed in the 800m, placing fifth in a time of 2:32.03.
  • The 4x400m Relay of Heller, Weide, Amanda Van Swol (Racine, Wis.), and Heiss finished fourth in a time of 4:32.60.
  • Twilight host St. Norbert scored 141 points and won five events to take home the team title.

  • The Warriors will next compete Saturday, April 27 at the Drake Alternative Meet hosted by UW-Whitewater. Events from the Rex Foster Track begin at 11:00 a.m.
