Warriors Finish Sixth At Private College Championships

BELOIT, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's track & field team competed Saturday at the Wisconsin Private College Championships hosted by Beloit. The Warriors finished with 61 points for a sixth-place finish at the event.

  • Sami Huebner (Sun Prairie, Wis.) finished second in the 400 Hurdles in a time of 1:06.95. Huebner also recorded a 100 Hurdle time of 16.66 seconds, earning a sixth-place finish. She also scored in the Javelin, placing seventh with a toss of 29.51m.
  • Madeleine Steber (Green Bay, Wis.) also competed in the 400 Hurdles, placing fifth in a time of 1:13.96.
  • Hannah Weide (New Berlin, Wis.) competed in the 5,000 Meters along with Siobhan Heiss (Beloit, Wis.) and Bethany Wagenknecht (Yorba Linda, Calif.). The trio placed third, fifth, and sixth, respectively, with times of 20:30.51, 21:43.22, and 21:45.54.
  • Heiss and Weide finished back-to-back in the 1,500 Meters, seventh and eighth, running times of 5:17.36 and 5:18.57, respectively.
  • Kendra Schumacher (Little Chute, Wis.) competed in the 400, posting a time of 1:02.69 seconds for third place.
  • Leah Rosenow (Temecula, Calif.) sprinted to a fourth-place finish in the 200, recording a time of 27.81 seconds.
  • Becca Heller (South Milwaukee, Wis.) raced to a fourth-place finish in the 800 with a time of 2:29.24.
  • The women's 4x400 Relay of Heller, Schumacher, Steber, and Rosenow was sixth in a time of 4:17.51.
  • Natalie Lendt (Watertown, S.D.), Kaylyn Shevey (Muskego, Wis.), and Jenna Schmitz (Fox Lake, Wis.) were fifth, sixth, and eighth in the Long Jump with marks of 4.56m, 4.45m, and 4.35m, respectively.
  • St. Norbert won the invite with 255.33 points, out-scoring second-place Carroll by 113.33 points. The Green Knights won nine events.

  • The Warriors are back at Carroll University next Saturday for the Gerry Reichert Invite. Events are scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. from the Punches Track and Field Complex.
