Rosenow's Record Leads Warriors To Fourth At Carroll

WAUKESHA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Leah Rosenow (Temecula, Calif.) broke her own school record in the Long Jump and the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's track & field team finished fourth with 84 points Thursday at the Carroll Pioneer Invite. The meet was contested two days sooner than originally scheduled due to weather concerns.

  • Rosenow broke her own school record in the Long Jump with a second-place mark of 5.34 meters, besting per previous record of 5.27 meters from a season ago. She also finished runner-up in the Triple Jump with a distance of 10.28 meters. Rosenow also topped the scoring in the 400 Meters, winning the event in a time of 60.18 seconds.
  • Sami Huebner (Sun Prairie, Wis.) and Kendra Schumacher (Little Chute, Wis.) followed in second and third with times of 61.10 and 62.37 seconds, respectively.
  • Madeleine Steber (Green Bay, Wis.) won the 400-Meter Hurdles in a time of 71.50 seconds, good for a personal best.
  • Becca Heller (South Milwaukee, Wis.) raced to a second-place finish in the 800 Meters with a time of 2:27.26. Siobhan Heiss (Beloit, Wis.) also raced in the event, placing fourth in a time of 2:30.03, a season-best time.
  • Hannah Weide (New Berlin, Wis.) ran a time of 20:21.59 in the 5000 Meters, placing seventh.
  • Kailey Acra (Dupo, Ill.) made her debut in the 3000-Meter Steeplechase, placing fifth in a time of 14:10.65.
  • The 4x400-Meter Relay team of Heller, Heiss, Christina Biffert (Lomira, Wis.), and Weide placed second with a time of 4:26.50.
  • Meet host Carroll won five events and scored 182 points to win the eight-team title by 50.5 points over second-place Carthage.

  • The Warriors will compete next Saturday, April 6 at the Wisconsin Private College Championships in Beloit. Events are scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. inside Strong Stadium.
