Rosenow Sets New Triple Jump Record In Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WLCSports.com) – Leah Rosenow (Temecula, Calif.) broke her own school record in the triple jump to lead the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's track & field team at the three-day Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational this past weekend.

  • Rosenow leaped to a 12th-place finish in the 33-competitor field of the Triple Jump with a distance of 10.60 meters, breaking her previous school record of 10.51 meters. Natalie Lendt (Watertown, S.D.) and Jenna Schmitz (Fox Lake, Wis.) also competed in the Triple Jump, posting personal-best marks of 9.60 and 9.59 meters, respectively.
  • The Warriors 4x800-Meter Relay team composed of Siobhan Heiss (Beloit, Wis.), Kaylyn Shevey (Muskego, Wis.), Hannah Weide (New Berlin, Wis.), and Becca Heller (South Milwaukee, Wis.) placed fourth with a time of 10:43.07.
  • Shevey also competed in the 400-Meter Hurdles, where she ran a personal best time of 1:12.62.
  • Madeleine Steber (Green Bay, Wis.) and Micayla Bork (San Jose, Calif.) both sprinted to personal bests in the 200-Meter dash, running times of 28.71 and 29.37 seconds, respectively.
  • Bethany Wagenknecht (Yorba Linda, Calif.) raced to a lifetime best of 44:00.81 in the 10,000-Meter run.
  • Kiana Granath (Lodi, Wis.) threw a personal best in the Javelin with a distance of 26.43 meters, placing 15th in the 38-competitor field.
  • Sarah Snyder (Green Bay, Wis.) out-tossed her previous personal best in the discus by 1.77 meters, throwing 28.10 meters Saturday.
  • Hampton won the 20-team scoring title with 26 points.

  • The Warriors will take next weekend off and will resume competition Saturday, March 30 at the Carroll Invite in Waukesha. Competition will take place at Punches Track & Field Complex.
