Warriors Compete Friday At Titan Twilight

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's indoor track & field team competed against Lakeland, Lake Forest, and host UW-Oshkosh Friday at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Twilight Invitational. No team scores were recorded at the event.

  • Sami Huebner (Sun Prairie, Wis.) placed third in the 60-meter dash prelims with a time of 8.38 seconds. She sprinted to a second-place finish in the finals with a time of 8.39 seconds.
  • Kendra Schumacher (Little Chute, Wis.) finished third in the 400-meter dash running a 1:05.61. Madeleine Steber (Green Bay, Wis.) followed right behind finishing in 1:06.77.
  • Kiana Granath (Lodi, Wis.) was fourth in the 60-meter hurdles prelims running a time of 10.43 seconds. Granath ran a 10.62 in the finals for fourth. She also jumped to a fifth-place finish in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.40 meters.
  • Kaylyn Shevey (Muskego, Wis.) ran a time of 10.61 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles prelims for sixth place. In the finals, Shevey was fifth with a time of 10.65 seconds. She was also seventh in the high jump at 1.25 meters.
  • Natalie Lendt (Watertown, S.D.) also competed in the 60-meter hurdles, placing eighth in the prelims with a time of 11.29 seconds. Lendt ran a finals time of 11.49 seconds for eighth. In the long jump, she jumped 4.39 meters for seventh and also scored in the triple jump, finishing fifth with a leap of 9.17 meters.
  • Jenna Schmitz (Fox Lake, Wis.) placed in all three of her events, starting the day fifth in the long jump with a distance of 4.73 meters. After a seventh-place finish in the 60-meter dash prelims (8.82 seconds), Schmitz secured her spot in the finals where she placed fourth in 8.76 seconds. In the triple jump, Schmitz was fourth leaping 9.19 meters.
  • WLC's 4x400-meter relay ran by Steber, Shevey, Schumacher, and Becca Heller (South Milwaukee, Wis.) was second with a time of 4:24.42.
  • Grace Morgan (Potosi, Wis.) was sixth in the shot put after throwing a distance of 10.14 meters.
  • Micayla Bork (San Jose, Calif.) scored in the long jump after leaping 4.07 meters for eighth place.  

  • The Warriors will take a break next weekend and will compete again February 2 at the Private College Invitational in Ripon. Events are set to begin at 11:00 a.m. inside the Willmore Center.
