Women's Track Places Five In Top 10 At Platteville

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - ­The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's indoor track & field team competed on Saturday at the UW-Platteville Invitational inside the Williams Fieldhouse.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • WLC's Amanda Frier (Oostburg, Wis./Oostburg) raced to a fifth-place finish among 17 competitors in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.37. Frier also ran in the 60-meter hurdles where she qualified for finals with a time of 9.49 and took third place in finals with a time of 9.56. 
  • Cassie Balts (Barron, Wis./Barron) placed eighth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 20:15.31.
  • Esther Harbach (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) finished 10th in the pole vault with a mark of 2.87 meters.
  • Marisah Hilger (Waukesha, Wis./North) leaped to a 10th-place standing in the long jump with a distance of 4.35 meters.
  • No team scores were recorded at the event.

UP NEXT

  • The Warriors will compete again next Friday at the UWM Panther Tune-Up. Events are scheduled to get underway at 4 p.m. at the Klotsche Center.
