Warriors Record Six Top 10 Finishes At Platteville

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's track & field team competed on Saturday at the UW-Platteville Select. No team scores were recorded at the event.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Cassie Balts (Barron, Wis./Barron) placed fifth of 15 in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:45.86.
  • Amanda Frier (Oostburg, Wis./Oostburg) qualified for the finals in the 60-meter hurdles after finishing fourth of 23 in the prelims. She placed sixth in the 60-meter hurdles finals with a time of 9.65.
  • Sami Huebner (Sun Prairie, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran), Christa Winslow (Dousman, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran), Frier, and Kiana Granath (Lodi, Wis./Lodi) placed sixth in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:38.07.
  • WLC's distance medley relay team of Hannah Weide (New Berlin, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran), Anna Curtis (Palmetto, Ga./Homeschooled), Bethany Wagenknecht (Yorba Linda, Calif./Esperanza), and Balts finished sixth with a time of 14:21.08.
  • Granath led all Warriors jumpers in the triple jump with a mark of 9.69 meters for eighth place.

UP NEXT

  • The Warriors will compete again next Saturday at the Parkside Classic. Events are scheduled to get underway at 10 a.m. inside the Petretti Fieldhouse.
