KENOSHA, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's track & field team opened its 2016 indoor season with a sixth-place finish out of 11 teams with 40 points at the Private College Invitational at the Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center Friday and Saturday.
Amanda Frier (Oostburg, Wis./Oostburg) won the 55-meter hurdles with a posted time of 8.86 seconds. She also finished third in the 400-meter dash (1:05.45).
Kiana Granath was fourth in the high jump with a mark of 1.40 meters.
Esther Harbach was fifth in pole vault with a height of 2.80 meters.
Sami Huebner placed fourth in the long jump with a leap of 4.73 meters.
Christa Winslow (Dousman, Wis,/Wisconsin Lutheran) finished fifth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:06.22. She also placed fifth in the 55-meter hurdles after posting a time of 9.68 seconds.
Debbie Miller (Mazeppa, Min./Zumbrota-Mazeppa) finished seventh in the long jump with a distance of 4.55 meters.
Concordia Wisconsin won the invite with a score 139.5.
WLC returns to action on January 30 at the Pioneer Open, hosted by UW-Platteville in the Williams Fieldhouse. Events begin at 11 a.m.
