NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's track & field team competed at the Gregory Invitational hosted by North Central Friday at the Jay and Dot Buikema Track. There were no team scores recorded at the final last chance meet of the season.
Amanda Frier (Oostburg, Wis./Oostburg) ended her collegiate career by setting a school record in the 400-meter hurdles after crossing the line in 1:03.29 to finish fourth.
Jenny Ebeling (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) secured a third-place finish in the javelin (35.69 meters) and also competed in the long jump (4.96 meters) to conclude her collegiate career.
Amberly Weiglein (Brownsville, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) also finished her Warriors career with a sixth-place finish in the 100 meters with a time of 12.71. She placed eighth in the shot put with a throw of 10.86 meters and competed in the long jump with a leap of 4.61 meters.
Cassie Balts (Barron, Wis./Barron) rounded out the competitors for WLC after finishing the 1500 meters with a time of 5:24.85.
Weiglein and Ebeling also competed in the heptathlon at the Gregory Multi-Event held Tuesday and Wednesday at North Central.
Ebeling secured a seventh-place finish with 3810 points, including a first-place finish in the 800 meters.
Weiglein finished ninth with a personal-best 3617 points.
Friday's meet marked the end of the season for the Warriors, who broke nine school records this year in the 100 meters (12.55), 400 meters (58.93), 400 meter hurdles (1:03.29), 3000 meters (10:54.80), 10000 meters (37:57.43), distance medley relay (13:26.51), shot put (11.35), high jump (1.56), and heptathlon (4338 points).
