CHICAGO, Ill. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's track & field team competed Saturday at the Ted Haydon Invitational, finishing sixth out of 13 scoring teams with 28.5 points.
The Warriors were led by Jenny Ebeling (Muskego Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) who posted three top-10 finishes including first place in the javelin (37.27 meters). The mark was good for the top distance in the NACC this season. She placed fifth in the 100 meter hurdles (18.20), seventh in the high jump (1.39 meters), and also competed in the 200 meters (29.23).
Amberly Weiglein (Brownsville, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) also had a trio of top-10 finishes. She was fourth in the javelin (23.18 meters), sixth in the 100 meters (13.05), and seventh in the 100-meter hurdles (20.13).
Julie Favorite (New London, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) posed a seventh-place finish out of 25 runners in the 3,000 meters, crossing the line at 10:54.80.
University of Chicago won its 13-team home meet with 296 points.
WLC will next compete Saturday when it hosts the Warrior Invitational at Raabe Stadium. Events are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
