Ebeling's Shot Put Record Highlights Panther Tune-Up

MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's track & field team competed at the non-scoring Panther Tune-Up Friday night at the Klotsche Center.

Amanda Frier (Oostburg, Wis./Oostburg) recorded Wisconsin Lutheran's top individual finish of the night after she placed sixth out of 16 sprinters in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.50. Frier also recorded an 11th-place finish in the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 28.13.

Jenny Ebeling (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) had a trio of top 10 finishes including a school-record throw of 10.87 meters in the shot put to take seventh out of 16 athletes. She placed eighth in the high jump with a leap of 1.46 meters and ninth in the 60-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 10.00.

Jessica Stumpner (Crystal Lake, Ill./South) took eighth of 18 in the 800 meters, crossing the line in 2:31.71. Andrea Hafemeister (Milwaukee, Wis./Wauwatosa West) (2:38.81), Anna Curtis (Palmetto, Ga./Homeschooled) (2:42.71), and Erika Shaw (Lafayette, Ind./Harrison) (2:51.71) all posted personal-best times in the 800.

Amberly Weiglein (Brownsville, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) placed 12th in the 200 meters with a time of 28.38. Weiglein also competed in the long jump with a leap of 4.64 meters and ran the 60-meters in a time of 8.21.

Kate Naujock (Livonia, Mich./Michigan Lutheran Seminary) finished 13th in the 200 meters with a personal-best 28.56. She also posted a personal-best time of 8.35 in the 60 meters.

Tori Remstad (South Lyon, Mich./South Lyon) competed in the 200 meters with a time of 29.43. She also raced in the 400 meters in a time of 1:05.01. Taylor Remstad (South Lyon, Mich./South Lyon) also ran the 400 with a time of 1:12.43.

Cassie Balts (Barron, Wis./Barron) participated in the 3,000 meters and posted a personal-best time of 12:05.28.

Anamarie Stern (Waco, Neb./Nebraska Lutheran) recorded a leap of 9.36 meters in the triple jump and Erika Koenig had a toss of 8.25 meters in the shot put.

Wisconsin Lutheran's 4x400-meter relay team of Ebeling, Frier, Weiglein, and Stumpner took home third place with a time of 4:39.01.

The Warriors' next event will come Saturday at the NACC Indoor Championships from the Petretti Fieldhouse in Kenosha. Events begin at 10:30 a.m.
