Warriors Compete Friday at UWO Open

OSHKOSH, Wis. - Julie Favorite (New London, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) captured second place in the 5,000 meters to lead the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's track & field team to a sixth-place finish at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Open Friday at Kolf Sports Center. The Warriors posted a team score of 20 points.

Favorite finished the 5,000 meters with a time of 18:46.22 to take home second place.

Amanda Frier (Oostburg, Wis./Oostburg) placed third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.47 seconds.

Andrea Hafemeister (Milwaukee, Wis./Wauwatosa West) and Cassie Balts (Barron, Wis./Barron) both competed in the mile run. Hafemeister crossed the line in 6:09.05 and Balts clocked in at 6:10.35.

Anna Curtis (Palmetto, Ga./Homeschooled) finished the 800 meters with a time of 2:48.67.

The Warriors' 4x400 meter relay team took home 10th place with a time of 4:33.94.

In the weight throw, Erika Koenig came in 11th with a toss of 9.20 meters.

UW-Oshkosh won its home meet with a score of 244 points.

Jenny Ebeling (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) and Amberly Weiglein (Brownsville, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) competed in the pentathlon at the UW-Stevens Point Pointer Multi also Friday. Ebeling came in fourth with a school-record point total of 2963, while Weiglein was fifth with 2492 points.

Wisconsin Lutheran returns to action next Saturday for the UW-Platteville Invitational. Field events start at 11 a.m. and running events follow at 11:30 a.m.
