LISLE, Ill. - Jenny Ebeling (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) won the heptathlon and javelin throw to lead the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's track & field team to fourth place out of 10 teams at the NACC Outdoor Championships Friday and Saturday at the Sports Complex. Ebeling helped WLC score 28 of its 82 team points.
The senior broke her own school record in the heptathlon with a score of 3841 after winning the 800 meters (2:29.11), javelin (35.32 meters), and shot put (9.93 meters) heptathlon events. Ebeling also won the non-heptathlon javelin event with a throw of 36.12 meters. In addition, she was on the 4x400-meter relay team -- along with Taylor Remstad (South Lyon, Mich./South Lyon), Tori Remstad (South Lyon, Mich./South Lyon), and Christa Winslow (Dousman, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) -- that finished second with a time of 4:07.44.
Winslow won the 100-meter hurdles after crossing the finish line in 16.34. She placed second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:06.70.
Aislyn Keyes (South Milwaukee, Wis./South Milwaukee) finished second in the high jump with a leap of 1.51 meters. Her triple jump mark of 9.93 meters landed her a sixth-place finish. Amanda Bregger (Waukesha, Wis./South) tied for second in the pole vault with a height of 3.05 meters, and collected seventh-place finishes in the long jump (4.62 meters) and triple jump (9.89 meters).
Amberly Weiglein (Brownsville, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) clocked in at 13.12 in the 100-meter dash to place fourth. She finished sixth in the javelin (27.02 meters) and eighth in the shot put (10.11 meters).
The 4x100-meter relay team of Keyes, Taylor Remstad, Tori Remstad, and Weiglein took fifth with a time of 52.97.
Aurora won the title with a score of 311.50.
Wisconsin Lutheran will compete in the Dr. Keeler Invitational next Thursday and Friday at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium in Naperville, Ill.
