Warriors Break Three School Records At NACC Indoor Championships

KENOSHA, Wis. - Amanda Bregger (Waukesha, Wis./North) earned 16 points to lead the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's track & field team to a fifth-place finish out of 10 teams at the 2014 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Indoor Championships Saturday at the Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center. The Warriors scored 48.5 points overall.

Bregger took second in the pole vault with a height of 3.20 meters. The junior placed fourth in the long jump (4.96 meters) and sixth in the triple jump (9.81 meters).

Amberly Weiglein (Brownsville, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) ran the 55-meter dash in a school-record time of 7.58 to take third place. The junior finished 10th in the shot put with a throw of 10.30 meters. 

Aislyn Keyes (South Milwaukee, Wis./South Milwaukee) contributed a fourth-place finish in high jump, breaking her own school record with a leap of 1.51 meters. The freshman landed eighth in the triple jump with a distance of 9.68 meters.

Christa Winslow (Dousman, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) collected a third-place finish in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 9.22. Jenny Ebeling (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) clocked in at 9.46 to place fourth in the event. Ebeling also finished ninth in the shot put (10.52 meters) and 10th in the 800-meter run (2:33.55). 

WLC's 4x400-meter relay team of Ebeling, Tori Remstad (South Lyon, Mich./South Lyon), Taylor Remstad (South Lyon, Mich./South Lyon), and Winslow ran a school-record time of 4:16.55 to take fourth place.

Tori Remstad ran the 400 meters in 1:04.30 to finish seventh. 

Aurora claimed the conference title with a score of 298.50.

Wisconsin Lutheran will return to the Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center to compete at the Carthage Gill Athletics Final Qualifier next Friday at 3:30 p.m.
