PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - Amberly Weiglein (Brownsville, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) set a school record in the 60-meter dash to lead the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's track & field team at the UW-Platteville Invitational Saturday at Williams Fieldhouse. No team scores were recorded for the meet.
Weiglein finished sixth in the event with a time of 8.29 seconds, breaking her previous record of 8.34 set at the same event a year ago.
Christa Winslow (Dousman, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) crossed the finished line in 9.72 to place second in the 60-meter hurdles. The sophomore also posted the top Warriors' finish in the 200 meters with a time of 28.49 to land 18th place. Weiglein finished close behind in 21st with a time of 28.62.
WLC's 4x400-meter relay team of Taylor Remstad (South Lyon, Mich./South Lyon), Tori Remstad (South Lyon, Mich./South Lyon), Jenny Ebeling (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran), and Winslow took fourth place with a time of 4:27.26.
Aislyn Keyes (South Milwaukee, Wis./South Milwaukee) jumped to ninth place in the triple jump with a distance of 9.56 meters. The freshman took 10th in the high jump, matching her own school record of 1.50 meters set earlier this year at the UW-Parkside Classic.
Tori Remstad ran to 11th place in the 400 meters with a time of 1:05.05. Jessica Stumpner (Crystal Lake, Ill./South) finished in 1:08.87 to take 16th and Taylor Remstad took 18th with a time of 1:10.12.
Wisconsin Lutheran returns to competition next Saturday in the Panther Tune-Up at the Klotsche Center in Milwaukee.
