KENOSHA, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's track & field team opened its indoor season by earning a sixth-place finish out of 11 teams at the Carthage Private College Invitational Friday and Saturday at the Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center. The Warriors posted a team score of 25.33 points.
Jenny Ebeling (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) set a school record in the pentathlon with 2,388 points and finished second in the event. She also finished eighth in the high jump with a leap of 1.25 meters.
Christa Winslow (Dousman, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) captured fourth place in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 9.55. Kristi Grobe (Hudson, Wis./St. Croix Lutheran) leapt to fourth place in the high jump with a height of 1.45 meters.
Amanda Bregger (Waukesha, Wis./South) cleared the bar at 2.91 meters to finish fifth in the pole vault. She also took eighth in the long jump with a distance of 4.90 meters.
Amberly Weiglein (Brownsville, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) competed in the shot put and posted a throw of 9.97 meters.
University of Chicago won the meet with 177.33 points.
Wisconsin Lutheran returns to action at the Parkside Classic February 8 in Somers.
