Warriors Swept By NCAA Division II Mustangs

PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's tennis team wrapped up its spring break schedule in Arizona on Wednesday, falling 9-0 to NCAA Division II opponent Southwest Minnesota State at the Phoenix Tennis Center.

The Mustangs defeated the Warriors in doubles action by scores of 8-2, 8-1, and 8-1, respectively. Kalyn Geddes (Bend, Ore./Luther Preparatory) and Paige Potaracke (La Crosse, Wis./Onalaska Luther) took a pair of games as the Warriors' No. 1 tandem. SMSU also swept through singles play, but not before WLC won a total of 14 games, including a hard-fought effort from Geddes who dropped a 6-3, 6-3 decision at No. 2 singles to the Mustangs' Crystal Overbaugh.

Wisconsin Lutheran returns to the courts April 10 when it takes on Alverno in a non-conference match at 5 p.m. at McKinley Park.
