Maddy Carruthers is in her first season as a graduate assistant coach for the Wisconsin Lutheran College women’s soccer team.
Carruthers arrives at Wisconsin Lutheran after a four-year playing career at Jacksonville State University, where she started 57 career games for the Gamecocks and played over 4,300 career minutes at the midfield/forward positions. Carruthers graduated from JSU in 2019 with bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice and psychology.
Carruthers has served as head coach for the Jacksonville High School varsity girls’ soccer team and the PSG U-15 and U-9 North Alabama Fusion FC Academy girls’ teams.
A four-year starter on the girls’ soccer team at St. Paul Catholic Secondary School in Frankford, Ontario, Canada, Carruthers was named the Falcons’ team MVP three straight years.
Carruthers is pursuing a Master of Arts in leadership and innovation from WLC and resides in Milwaukee.
