MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College's Kendra Schumacher (Little Chute, Wis.) has received Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Honorable Mention recognition, the league announced Thursday as the postseason awards for the 2019 women's soccer season were released by the conference office. This is the first postseason conference award for the Warriors' midfielder.
Schumacher, who started all 18 games, led the Warriors in points (23), goals (9), assists (5), shots (46), and shots on goal (31). The junior had a pair of multi-goal games, including a hat trick October 5 against Alverno.
Concordia Wisconsin midfielder Karoline Haugland was named both the NACC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year and NACC Women's Soccer Freshman of the Year, while Dominican defender Danielle Mason repeated as NACC Defensive Player of the Year. The Falcons' head coach Ryan Middendorf was recognized by his peers as the 2019 NACC Women's Soccer Coach of the Year.
Wisconsin Lutheran concluded its 2019 season with a 4-14-0 overall record and 3-9-0 mark in the NACC.
