MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College senior Helen Joyce (De Pere, Wis.) has been named First Team All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference, it was announced Thursday as the awards for the 2018 women's soccer season were released by the conference office. Joyce is the first Warrior to be named First Team all-conference since 2005 and just the third player in program history to garner four straight all-conference honors.
Joyce finished her senior campaign sixth in the conference with 33 points and tied for seventh with 14 goals. The senior tallied five assists and four multi-goal games, including a trio of game-winning goals. Starting 18 contests, Joyce netted her fourth career hat-trick while registering an assist September 22 at Alverno. The 14 goals scored by Joyce are tied for fifth in a season in program history.
Joyce wrapped up her career for the Green and White with 41 goals and 90 points, which rank second and third in program history, respectively.
Dominican's Josseline Williams was named NACC Offensive Player of the Year while her teammate, Danielle Mason, was named NACC Defensive Player of the Year. The Stars' Carlos Carillo was named Coach of the Year. Illinois Tech's Jamie Griggs was tabbed NACC Freshman of the Year.
Wisconsin Lutheran concluded its 2018 season with a 7-12-0 overall record and a 4-7-0 mark in conference play. The seven overall victories and four league wins are the most since the 2012 season.
