MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's soccer team fell to the visiting Concordia Chicago Cougars 3-0 Saturday afternoon at Warriors Soccer Field. The loss drops the Warriors' conference record to 4-4 as they sit in seventh place in the standings with three league games remaining.

- The visitors applied pressure early in the contest, tallying nine shots in the opening 20 minutes, but Rosanna Mazzulla (Melrose Park, Ill.) denied the Cougars from scoring.
- CUC nearly broke the scoreless tie just before halftime at the 39:43 mark, but Mazzulla preserved the first half clean sheet with a save, one of her five in the half.
- The Cougars found the back of the net in the 69' after a free kick from Krista Pojero sailed over the keeper and trickled into the goal, putting CUC ahead 1-0.
- Concordia Chicago added a second goal in the 74' when Samantha Wozniak lofted a shot from 25 yards out that sailed over the keeper's head and into the back of the net.
- CUC added its third and final goal of the contest in the 88' when Wozniak scored her second goal of the game, giving the Cougars the 3-0 victory.
- Mady Hirsch (Jefferson, Wis.) and Calli Tomko (Lisle, Ill.) were the lone Warriors to tally shots in the contest.
- Mazzulla made five saves in 45 minutes of action in goal.
- Abby Vavra (Mukwonago, Wis.) suffered the loss in goal, allowing three goals while making a trio saves.
- Esmeralda Torres led CUC with seven shots, including three on goal.
- Wozniak tallied two goals while Pojero added another score for the visitors.
- Madeline Kroll earned the win in net without facing a shot on goal.
- CUC out-shot WLC 19-2 in the contest.
- The Warriors host North Park Sunday afternoon in their final non-conference tilt of the season. The Vikings (4-7-1) last fell 2-0 to Elmhurst Wednesday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Live stats and video will be available at WLCSports.com.
