MSOE Sends Warriors To NACC Loss

MILWAUKEE - MSOE picked up a 6-1 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference victory over the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's soccer team Saturday at MSOE Field. The Warriors fell to 3-8-1 and 1-2-1 in NACC play.

Sara Travia scored the first and last goals for the Raiders, striking in the 32nd minute and in the 88th. MSOE controlled the ball for much of the game, out-shooting the Warriors 27-4.

Caitlin Liddiard, Maria Schumacher and Natalie Gayner also scored for MSOE (5-6-0, 3-1-0 NACC).

Junior Mandy Schnell (Milwaukee, Wis./Martin Luther) connected on a long free kick in the 77th minute for her second goal of the season and the Warriors lone goal in the game. Schnell led the Warriors with two shots. Goalkeeper Kate Gucinski (Appleton, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) recorded 10 saves for WLC.

Wisconsin Lutheran continues NACC play Tuesday at Warrior Field against Dominican (0-8, 0-4 NACC) at 7 p.m.
