Women's Golf Closes Fall Season Against Marian

NEW BERLIN, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's golf team competed in the Marian Dual Friday afternoon at New Berlin Hills Golf Course. WLC finished second with a team score of 447. Sophomore Addie Slominsky's (Appleton, Wis.) second-place finish and junior Alyssa Leitzke's (Jackson, Wis.) best round of the season paced the Warriors.

  • Slominsky finished just one stroke off the lead and paced the Warriors by carding a 101 (+30). Leitzke shot a 105 (+34) and tied for fourth place. The score was her lowest round of the season.
  • Freshman Miranda Noon (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) posted a score of 118 (+47) for seventh place in the dual.
  • Junior Maddie Richio (Racine, Wis.) and sophomore Isabella Scheibl (Kiel, Wis.) rounded out the five players for the Warriors. Richio shot a 123 (+52), her second lowest of the year, and Scheibl fired a 134 (+63) for her lowest round of the year.

  • Marian won the dual with a team stroke total of 423. Kristen Frawley led the Sabres as she posted a score of 100 (+29).

  • The dual caps the fall season of competition for the Warriors, who will resume play in the spring.
