Slominsky Paces Warriors Sunday At Home Invite

NEW BERLIN, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Sophomore Addie Slominsky (Appleton, Wis.) shot a 93 and the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's golf team finished third at its home invite on a rainy Sunday afternoon at New Berlin Hills Golf Course. The Warriors tabulated a score of 416 in their final tune-up before next weekend's NACC Championship.

  • Slominsky fired her second lowest round of the season relative to par with a 93 on the par 71 course. She tied for seventh overall in the 23-player field.
  • Freshman Charley Fleek (Albert Lea, Minn.) was 12th with a 104 and junior Alyssa Leitzke (Jackson, Wis.) right behind in 13th with a 107.
  • Junior Maddie Richio (Racine, Wis.) carded a career-low 112 for 15th place and freshman Miranda Noon (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) rounded out the top five with a 130. Sophomore Isabella Scheibl (Kiel, Wis.) posted a 137 in her first collegiate event.

  • Lake Forest bested the second place team, Lakeland, by 39 shots to win the title. The Foresters' Amanda Lee fired an eight-over par 79 to earn medalist honors by eight strokes.

  • The Warriors now focus on the NACC Championship next weekend at Meadowbrook Country Club in Racine. The three-round tournament begins Saturday at 10:45 a.m. The winning team is the conference's automatic qualifier in the 2020 NCAA Division III Championship.
