Women's Golf Finishes Fifth At NACC Championship

RACINE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's golf team concluded its 2018 fall season with a fifth-place finish out of seven scoring teams this weekend at the NACC Championship at Meadowbrook Country Club. It was the Warriors' second consecutive fifth-place finish at the conference championship.

  • Slominsky shot a weekend-best 98 Friday in the first round as she finished with an overall 306 three-round total to pace the Warriors with a 17th-place finish.
  • Brianna LeFebre (Oconto Falls, Wis.) finished in 18th place right behind her teammate with a championship score of 314.
  • Ashley Fritz (Middleton, Wis.) placed 24th and shot a total three-day score of 343, capped off with her best round of 106 Sunday afternoon.
  • Alyssa Leitzke (Jackson, Wis.) finished in 26th place with a three-day total of 346 to wrap up the WLC scorers.
  • Wisconsin Lutheran totaled a three-day 1,309 to place ahead of Marian and Alverno in the team standings.

  • Aurora, which placed four players in the top six in the medalist standings, finished with a 1,002 total to win the championship by 141 strokes. AU's Kallie Sakamoto captured medalist honors and secured NACC Player of the Year recognition after recording a 20-over-par 239.

  • The NACC Championship caps fall season competition for the Warriors, who will resume play in the spring.
