Women's Golf Takes Eighth At Clarke Fall Invitational

GALENA, Ill. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's golf team finished eighth at the Clarke Fall Invitational Saturday and Sunday at Eagle Ridge Golf Resort. Ellyn Mortell (Eden Prairie, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran) finished 12th to lead the Warriors in the 42-player field.

  • Mortell carded rounds of 85 and 96 for a two-day 181 to lead Wisconsin Lutheran. 
  • Jordan Fenney (Erin, Wis./Hartford) fired a 203 (103-100), Ashley Miller (Cedarburg, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran) a 224 (112-112), and Rachael Wendt (Seymour, Wis./Seymour) a 227 (120-107). 
  • The Warriors lowered their stroke total by five from round one to round two. 
  • Viterbo won the eight-team invite with a two-round 669 (336-333). The V-Hawks' Danielle Ducklow earned medalist with her two-day 159 (79-80).
