Women's Golf Competes At Viterbo Invitational

ONALASKA, Wis. – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's golf team finished sixth at the Viterbo Invitational at La Crosse Country Club on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Ellyn Mortell (Eden Prairie, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran) led the Warriors finishing 12th with a two-round score of 179 (+35).

  • Mortell fired rounds of 87 and 92 to lead the Warriors, placing her in a tie for 12th in the field of 32 players.
  • Jordan Fenney (Erin, Wis./Hartford) came in 23rd with a score of +49.
  • Rachael Wendt (Seymour, Wis./Seymour) improved her score in the final round as she carded a 105.
  • Both Ashley Miller (Cedarburg, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran) and Katherine Siedler (St. Joseph, Mich./Michigan Lutheran) also improved from their opening-round performances, lowering their scores by 14 shots each in the final round of competition.
  • Host Viterbo won its own invitational by 23 shots. The V-Hawks' Heather Zuleger won the event with a two-day 160 (85-75).
