Fenney, Mortell Finish Runner-Up At Edgewood Triangular

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's golf team finished second among three teams with a school-record 372 at the Edgewood Triangular at Yahara Hills Golf Course Thursday afternoon. Jordan Fenney (Erin, Wis./Hartford) and Ellyn Mortell (Eden Prairie, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran) led the Warriors with scores of 86 (+14), tying for second overall.

  • Mortell and Fenney each fired rounds of 86 for a second-place finish among 15 players, just four shots off the lead.
  • Ashley Miller (Cedarburg, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran) and Rachael Wendt (Seymour, Wis./Seymour) finished ninth and 10th with scores of 99 (+27) and 101 (+29), respectively.
  • WLC finished 33 strokes ahead of host Edgewood.
  • Concordia Wisconsin won the three-team event with a 352 (+64). CUW's Nina Puch carded an 82 to earn medalist honors.


  • Mortell has started the season with a pair of runner-up finishes.
  • The Warriors improved their team score by 16 shots from their season-opening triangular.
