DE PERE, Wis. - Wisconsin Lutheran College freshman women's golfer Ellyn Mortell (Eden Prairie, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran) won her second straight event and fifth of her rookie season to lead the Warriors women's golf team at the St. Norbert Invitational Sunday at Ledgeview Golf Course. WLC finished second with a 422 at the one-day tournament to conclude its 2014-2015 season.
Mortell carded a 91 to top the field of 15 players and finish one stroke ahead of St. Norbert's Taylor Debski for medalist honors. Jordan Fenney (Erin, Wis./Hartford) tied for fifth with a 102.
Ashley Miller (Cedarburg, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran), Rachael Wendt (Seymour, Wis./Seymour), and Katherine Seidler (St. Joseph, Mich./Michigan Lutheran) fired rounds of 112, 117, and 118 to round out the Warriors' lineup.
Host St. Norbert totaled a 397 to take home the top team honors.
