GALENA, Ill. – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's golf team competed this weekend at the Clarke Fall Invitational at Eagle Ridge Golf Resort. The Warriors finished eighth at the two-day event with an 881 after shooting rounds of 458 and 423, respectively.
Ashley Miller (Cedarburg, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran) led the Warriors with a two-round score of 213, with consistent rounds of 107 and 106. Jordan Fenney (Erin, Wis./Hartford) carded a 220 (120-100) lowering her second round score by 20 strokes. Rachael Wendt (Seymour, Wis./Seymour) also finished with a score of 220 (122-98) taking 24 strokes off of her first round score. Becky Miller (Mazeppa, Minn./Zumbrota-Mazeppa) and Katherine Seidler (St. Joseph, Mich./Michigan Lutheran) rounded out the scoring for WLC with a 230 and 243, respectively.
William Penn's Natalie Booton fired a two-round 163 (80-83) to take the top score for individuals. William Penn also topped the eight-team field with a 667 (331-336).
The Warriors return to the links Tuesday for the Lake Forest Dual at Foss Park Golf Course in North Chicago, Ill. Tee time is slated for 2:30 p.m.
