Women's Golf Takes Second At Marian Triangular

FOND DU LAC, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's golf team concluded its 2014 season Sunday, finishing in a close second at the Marian Triangular held at Whispering Springs Golf Club.

Jordan Fenney (Erin, Wis./Hartford Union) led the Warriors by landing in a tight group of top finishers as just two strokes separated the top seven finishers. Fenney shot a 108 to tie for fourth place. Ashley Miller (Cedarburg, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran), Becky Miller (Mazeppa, Minn./Zumbrota-Mazeppa), and Rachael Wendt (Seymour, Wis./Seymour) made it four WLC golfers in the top 10, shooting a seventh-place 114, an eighth-place 115, and a ninth-place 122, respectively. Katherine Seidler (St. Joseph, Mich./Michigan Lutheran) fell one stroke short of a fifth top 10 finish, shooting an 11th-place 127.

Kristin Skubic and Sydney Volkman of Marian both carded a 106 to tie for medalist honors. The Warriors were just behind in second with a 459. Edgewood emerged as the top team, shooting a 456.
