He graduated from Loras with a degree in media studies in 2019.

A 2015 graduate of Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois, Carroll was a four-year letterwinner in cross country and track & field. He helped lead the Ramblers to a Catholic League championship in 2014 and a top-15 finish at the IHSA Meet. Individually, he was the Catholic League champion and earned All-State honors. On the track, the Ramblers won the 2014 Chicago Catholic League championship in 2014, while Carroll earned All-Conference honors and was an IHSA state qualifier in the 1600m.
The Chicago native lives in Milwaukee and is pursuing a Master of Arts in leadership and innovation from Wisconsin Lutheran College.
