Krahn, Warriors Finish Third At Private College Championships

GREEN BAY, Wis. ( – Junior Chris Krahn (De Pere, Wis.) posted his highest finish of the season to lead the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's cross country team to third place out of seven scoring teams at the Wisconsin Private College Championships on Saturday at Colburn Park

  • Krahn continued to pace the Warriors' scoring by earning First Team All-State honors, clocking an 8K time of 26:54.7, good for third place in the 57-runner field.
  • Junior Daniel Bronner (Hartland, Wis.) ran a time of 27:39.2 to earn fifth place along with First Team All-State honors.
  • Freshman Jacob Trietsch (Trafalgar, Ind.) punched a time of 32:30.4, earning his best finish of the season at 37th place.
  • Senior Elijah Tesch (Sun Prairie, Wis.) completed the course in a time of 33:48.4 to finish 44th.
  • Senior Ka Yu Tse (Kowloon, Hong Kong) rounded out the Warriors' scoring, finishing 52nd in a time of 35:58.0.

  • Championship host St. Norbert placed all five of its scoring runners in the top nine to win the team title with 34 points. Maranatha Baptist's Jeremy Fopma won the individual 8K crown with a time of 26:28.4.

  • The Warriors return to their home course at Greenfield Park to host the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championships on Saturday November 2. The men's 8K race is set to start at 11:00 a.m.
