Krahn's Sixth-Place Finish Paces Warriors At Gene Davis Invite

APPLETON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Junior Chris Krahn (De Pere, Wis.) ran a season best 8K time and finished sixth overall to pace the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's cross country team to an eighth-place finish at the Gene Davis Invitational on Saturday Reid Golf Course.

  • Krahn was the leading Warriors finisher for the fifth race of the season, placing sixth overall clocking a time of 26:41.9, out-running his season best by 0:27 seconds.
  • Junior Daniel Bronner (Hartland, Wis.) ran a time of 27:26.2 to earn a 16th-place finish and a season best.
  • Senior Elijah Tesch (Sun Prairie, Wis.) finished 91st overall, posting a time of 31:12.2.
  • Freshman Jacob Trietsch (Trafalgar, Ind.) completed the 8K race in a time of 31:52.5, a personal best for 99th.
  • Freshman Caleb Doebler (Hong Kong, China) rounded out the Warriors' scoring, placing 105th in a time of 32:59.1 in his first collegiate 8K race.

  • St. Norbert placed three runners inside the top 11 to win the team title with 57 points. Lawrence's Joe Kortenhof won the individual 8K crown with a time of 25:51.0.

  • The Warriors are back on the course next Saturday for the Wisconsin Private College Championships at Colburn Park in Green Bay. The 8K race starts at 12:00 p.m.
