Krahn, Bronner Post Top 10 Finishes At Warrior Invitational

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Juniors Chris Krahn (De Pere, Wis.) and Daniel Bronner (Hartland, Wis.) posted top 10 finishes to lead the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's cross country team at the Warrior Invitational on Saturday at Greenfield Park. WLC placed seventh out of 17 scoring teams at its 19th annual home invite.

  • Top WLC Individual: Chris Krahn, 4th of 119, 27:17.8

  • Krahn was the leading Warriors finisher for the fourth consecutive meet, placing fourth overall with an 8K time of 27:17.8. It was his sixth career top 10 finish.
  • Bronner ran a time of 27:55.8 to earn ninth place overall and his fifth career top 10 finish.
  • Senior Elijah Tesch (Sun Prairie, Wis.) finished 41st overall, posting a time of 31:03.7.
  • Freshman Jacob Trietsch (Trafalgar, Ind.) completed the 8k race in a time of 32:56.5 for 67th place.
  • Senior Ka Yu Tse (Kowloon, Hong Kong) rounded out the Warriors' scoring by placing 97th in a season-best time of 35:37.3.
  • Wisconsin Lutheran finished with 206 points, 13 back of sixth-place Edgewood.

  • Aurora captured the 17-team scoring title with 78 points, 18 points ahead of runner-up Illinois Tech. The Spartans had three runners place within the top 12.
  • Jeremy Fopma of Maranatha Baptist was the overall 8K race winner, clocking in with a winning time of 27:00.9.

  • The Warriors will compete at the Gene Davis Invitational next Saturday, October 12. The 8K race is set to begin at 11:30 a.m. at Reid Golf Course in Appleton.
