Pair Of Top 10 Finishes Lead WLC To Fourth At UWW

WHITEWATER, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's cross country team was paced by juniors Chris Krahn (De Pere, Wis.) and Daniel Bronner (Hartland, Wis.) who both recorded top 10 finishes at the UW-Whitewater Tom Hoffman Invitational Saturday morning. The Warriors placed fourth among seven scoring teams at the event with 116 points.

  • Krahn was the Warriors' top finisher in the first 8K event of the season, recording a time of 28:07.4 placing seventh overall in the 76-runner field. It marked his fifth career top 10 finish.
  • Bronner followed shortly behind Krahn in ninth, running a time of 28:27.6 for his fourth career top 10 finish.
  • Senior Elijah Tesch (Sun Prairie, Wis.) finished 55th in a time of 32:37.5.
  • Freshman Jacob Trietsch (Trafalgar, Ind.) completed his first 8K race, finishing 66th in a time of 35:03.0
  • Senior Ka Yu Tse (Kowloon, Hong Kong) rounded out the scoring for the Warriors with a time of 38:21.8 in 73rd.

  • Meet host UW-Whitewater placed five runners inside the top 10 and totaled 21 points to win the seven-team scoring title by 52 over runner-up UW-Platteville. The Warhawks' David Fassbender won the 8K race in a time of 26:03.8.

  • The Warriors are off next weekend and will next travel to Chicago for the Loyola Lakefront Invitational on Saturday September 28. The 8K race is scheduled for a 12:30 p.m. start.
