Krahn, Bronner Post Top-15 Finishes At Tom Barry Invitational

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Juniors Chris Krahn (De Pere, Wis.) and Daniel Bronner (Hartland, Wis.) recorded top-15 finishes to lead the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's cross country team at the season-opening Tom Barry Invitational Saturday at Colburn Park. The Warriors placed seventh among 11 scoring teams at the event with 196 points.

  • Krahn was the Warriors' top finisher, recording a 10th-place finish in the 96-runner field with a personal-best 4-mile time of 21:27.
  • Bronner was four spots behind in 14th also with a personal-best time of 21:51.
  • Elijah Tesch (Sun Prairie, Wis.) was 64th overall with a time of 25:17 and Caleb Doebler (Hong Kong, China) was 67th in 25:38 in his first collegiate race.
  • Jacob Trietsch (Trafalgar, Ind.) rounded out the scoring for the Warriors with a time of 28:27 also in his first collegiate competition.

  • Carroll's Spencer Kirsteatter topped the 96-runner field with a 4-mile time of 20:46. Host St. Norbert won the event with a team score of 37 points. The Green Knights placed four runners inside the top 10.

  • The Warriors are off next weekend and return to the course Saturday, September 14 for the Tom Hoffman Invitational hosted by UW-Whitewater. The men's 8K race is scheduled for a 10:45 a.m. start.
