Warriors Win Home Invite For Fourth Time

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (WLCSPorts.com) - Chris Krahn (De Pere, Wis.) and Daniel Bronner (Hartland, Wis.) finished fourth and fifth overall to lead the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's cross country team to a win at the Warrior Invitational Saturday at Greenfield Park. The Warriors won the meet with a score of 47 points, defeating runner-up Martin Luther by 14 points. It was the team's first invite title since 2015 and their fourth overall.

  • Krahn paced the Warriors with a fourth-place finish, the highest of his career, and an 8K time of 27:14.66. Bronner was one spot behind his teammate with a time of 27:19.22, also marking a top career finish for the sophomore.
  • Javier Cano-Telles (Milwaukee, Wis.) and Tyler Punzel (Watertown, Wis.) also finished back-to-back in 13th and 14th with times of 28:25.48 and 28:39.74, respectively. It was also the top finish of the season for Punzel.
  • Brady Stuck (Hubertus, Wis.) rounded out the Warriors' scoring in 17th and posted a season-best time of 28:48.28.
  • Wisconsin Lutheran placed first of 10 scoring teams with 47 points, ahead of Martin Luther by 14 points.

  • Chase Robles of the WLC Alumni team topped the 76-runner field with an 8K time of 26:42.46, over 0:27 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.

  • Wisconsin Lutheran is off next weekend and returns to race Saturday, October 13 at the Private College Championships in Green Lake. The men's 8K race is slated to start at 12:00 p.m. at Tuscumbia Golf Course.
