Krahn Leads Warriors At West Coast Coyote Challenge

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's cross country team finished eighth out of 10 teams in their west coast trip at the Coyote Challenge hosted by Cal State-San Bernardino Saturday morning. The Warriors, who raced against five other NCAA Division II teams, were paced by Chris Krahn's (De Pere, Wis.) 37th place on the 8K course.

  • Top WLC Individual: Chris Krahn, 37th of 107, 26:43.4

  • Krahn led the Warriors with a 37th-place finish in the 107-runner field with an 8K time of 26:43.4.
  • Daniel Bronner (Hartland, Wis.) was the second WLC runner to cross the finish line, finishing the course in 27:12.2 to earn 47th-place.
  • Tyler Punzel (Watertown, Wis.) completed the 8K race in a time 28:00.6 to finish 68th.
  • Javier Cano-Telles (Milwaukee, Wis.) finished 76th with a time of 28:14.3.
  • Brady Stuck (Hubertus, Wis.) rounded out the Warriors' scoring with an 86th-place finish and a time of 29:04.7.

  • Cal Poly Pomona won the team title with 42 points, 15 ahead of Cal State-San Marcos. The Broncos had three runners finish inside the top 10. Redlands' Tucker Cargile won the individual 8K race with a time of 25:11.2.

  • Wisconsin Lutheran returns home to host the Warrior Invitational next Saturday on Homecoming at Greenfield Park in West Allis. The men's 8K race is scheduled to start at Noon.
