Four Race To Season-Bests At NCAA Midwest Regional

WINNECONNE, Wis. ( – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's cross country team had four runners record season-best times as it placed 29th out of 33 scoring teams with 810 points on Saturday at the 2016 NCAA Division III Midwest Regional at Lake Breeze Golf Course.

  • Top WLC Individual: Javier Cano-Telles (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran), 95th of 244, 26:41.4


  • Cano-Telles was the top finisher for the Warriors, placing 95th with an 8K time of 26:41.4.
  • Jordan Donart (De Pere, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) finished with a season-best time of 28:24.5, good for a 176th-place finish.
  • Elijah Tesch (Sun Prairie, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) raced to an 187th-place finish with a season-best time of 28:43.5.
  • Brady Stuck (Hubertus, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran) ran to a season-best time of 28:51.1 to place 192nd.
  • Josh Eickhoff (Manitowoc, Wis./Lutheran) rounded out the Warriors' lineup in a time of 29:03.2, also good for a season-best mark.


  • North Central (Ill.) had four of its runners finish inside the top eight to claim the regional title with 37 points, besting runner-up UW-Eau Claire by 54 points.
  • UW-Platteville's Ian LaMere won the regional 8K title with a finishing time of 24:01.1, crossing the finish line over 18 seconds in front of the runner-up finisher.
