Michael Rajsich is in his third season as an assistant coach for the Wisconsin Lutheran College men’s and women’s track & field teams.
Rajsich has been the co-head cross country coach at East Troy High School for four seasons, where he also has coached boys’ basketball. While at East Troy, the boys team qualified for the WIAA Division 2 State Cross Country Championships in 2016, 2017 and 2018, while the girls team won its first WIAA Division 2 State Championship in 2016. The boys placed third at the state meet in 2018, the highest finish in program history. Two individuals also qualified for the state meet in 2017 and three girls qualified for the state meet in 2018.
Rajsich, who serves as Vice President of the Wisconsin Cross Country Coaches Association, was named the Division 2 Girls Coach of the Year and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Girls Coach of the Year in 2016.
A standout athlete at Kimberly High School, Rajsich was selected as an all-conference pitcher and helped lead the Papermakers to the state tournament in 2010. He graduated from UW-Whitewater in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. He is pursuing a master’s degree in career and technical education from UW-Stout.
The Appleton native is a business teacher in the Waukesha School District and is currently enrolled in the college's Master of Arts program, specializing in educational leadership.
