Warriors Tested At Titan Twilight

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's indoor track & field team competed against Lakeland, Lake Forest, and host UW-Oshkosh Friday at the Titan Twilight Invitational. No team scores were recorded at the event.

  • Chris Krahn (De Pere, Wis.) and Tyler Punzel (Watertown, Wis.) placed second and third in the 800-meter run, posting times of 2:09.04 and 2:12.11, respectively.
  • The Warriors 4x400-meter relay of TJ McBryde (Zumbrota, Minn.), Joel Schamber (Wyoming, Mich.), Elijah Tesch (Sun Prairie, Wis.), and Daniel Bronner (Hartland, Wis.) also took second in a time of 3:34.81.
  • Schamber also raced to a fourth-place finish in the 60-meter dash prelims with a time of 9.56 seconds. He placed fifth in the finals with a time of 9.76 seconds.
  • Dylan Chirigotis (Racine, Wis.) sprinted to an eighth-place finish in the 60-meter dash prelims with a time of 7.58 seconds. He placed fifth in the finals in a time of 7.50 seconds and also raced in the 200-meter dash running a time of 25.44 seconds for sixth.
  • Jared Traver (Janesville, Wis.) also competed in the 200-meter dash running a time of 26.76 seconds for eighth place.
  • Keith Bowling (Jefferson, Wis.) leaped to a fifth-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 6.18 meters. He also placed in the triple jump with a leap of 12.67 meters for sixth.
  • Cole Kuehl (Richland, Mich.) and Todd O'Dell (Manteno, Ill.) both placed in the shot put, tossing marks of 11.33 meters and 10.48 meters for sixth and eighth, respectively.
  • Adam Pagel (Kenosha, Wis.) and Kuehl placed seventh and eighth in the weight throw with distances of 10.53 meters and 8.85 meters, respectively.

  • The Warriors take a break next weekend and will compete again February 2 at the Private College Invitational in Ripon. Events are set to begin at 11:00 a.m. inside the Willmore Center.
