Warriors Record Several Season-Bests At Panther Tune-Up

MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's indoor track & field team competed against four other teams on Saturday at the Milwaukee Panther Tune-Up inside the Klotsche Center.

  • The Warriors' 4x400-meter relay team placed third with a time of 3:56.58.
  • Jared Traver (Janesville, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) placed 10th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.69 seconds. He was also one spot from a scoring position in the pole vault.
  • Jordan Donart (De Pere, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) placed ninth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:01.67. Elijah Tesch (Sun Prairie, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) also ran the 800 meters, finishing just behind Donart for 10th and a season-best 2:04.50. 
  • Javier Cano-Telles (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) finished seventh in the 3000-meter run in a time of 9:51.33.
  • Adam Pagel (Kenosha, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) placed ninth in the shot put with a throw of 10.15 meters. He recorded season-bests in both the shot put and weight throw (9.82 meters). 
  • Joel Schamber (Wyoming, Mich./Luther Preparatory) ran a season-best in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.36 seconds for sixth. He also ran a personal-record 9.50 in the 60-meter hurdles. 
  • Jared Bruemmer (Hanover Park, Ill./Hoffman Estates) also sprinted in the 400-meter dash, finishing eighth with a time of 57.55 seconds. 
  • Brady Stuck (Germantown, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran) recorded a lifetime best of 4:55.84 in the mile run. Josh Eickhoff (Manitowoc, Wis./Lutheran) also reached a season-best in the mile with a time of 5:05.62. 
  • Colin Kaurich (Cicero, Ind./Hamilton Heights) recorded season-bests in both the shot put (7.92 meters) and weight throw (7.05 meters).


  • The Warriors travel to Kenosha next Saturday for the 2017 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Indoor Championships. Events begin at 11:00 a.m. inside Carthage's Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center.
