Warriors Finish Eighth At Home Invite

MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team hosted the Warrior Invitational at Raabe Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors placed eighth out of 10 teams with 43 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Junior Jacob Jodat (Pewaukee, Wis./Waukesha North) and freshman Javier Cano-Telles (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) finished 1-2 in the 10,000 meters with times of 34:05.70 and 34:18.37, respectively. 
  • The Warriors' 800 sprint medley and distance medley relay teams took home first-place finishes with school-record times of 1:38.77 and 10:52.83, respectively. 
  • Junior Jared Bruemmer (Hanover Park, Ill./Hoffman Estates) placed eighth in the javelin throw with a personal-best mark of 43.52 meters,.
  • Freshman Shemron Ross (Grand Anse, Grenada/Happy Hill Academy) finished fifth in the 400-meter dash with a personal-best time of 52.75. 
  • Michigan Tech won the meet with 204.5 points, beating MSOE who finished second with 114.5 points.

UP NEXT

  • The Warriors are back in action next Saturday when they travel to compete in the St. Norbert Invitational at Schneider Stadium in De Pere. Events are set to start at 10:00 a.m.
